Biography

Richard Dybowski has influenced Artificial Intelligence for over 35 years, particularly with regard to making optimal decisions in complex environments. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he advised the World Health Organization (WHO) how best to make decisions under extreme uncertainty. In recognition of his contributions, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Societies of Medicine, Chemistry and Statistics.

He is developing a machine-learning method for pandemic mitigation that includes the lessons learnt from all the government inquiries held worldwide regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, for pandemic mitigation,  he is also undertaking an in-depth comparison of conventional approaches to performing social choices with contemporary approaches to social choice theory.
