Gita Aminpour is the Operations Administrator at the Bennett School of Public Policy. Among her duties are dealing with internal recruitment questions at the direction of the line manager, assisting with administrative matters, assisting the Communications Coordinator with different projects, arranging meetings, proofreading and editing as required, and managing social events.
She has worked for the University of Cambridge since 2019, previously through its Temporary Employment Service, and her assignments have included, amongst other departments, working in the University’s Clinical Neurosciences and Toxicology Departments in responsible roles, including as HR Coordinator. Gita has been a staff member at the Bennett School of Public Policy since September 2024.
Previously, Gita worked as an Underwriter at a one of the largest insurance companies, dealing with all aspects of insurance for large clients, including Employer’s and Public Liability, and then as an Account Handler dealing with major clients for two insurance brokerage firms in the City of London. She and her husband also worked in senior positions at the Bahá’í World Centre for a number of years.
In addition to her work for the University, Gita serves as a Governor for three major schools in Cambridge, including as Safeguarding and RS/PSHE Governor; is a member of the Patient Advisory Group for the upcoming Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital, sitting on various Work Forces; Chair of the Patient Participation Group for a surgery with more than 22,000 patients; member of the Cambridge University Hospitals Inpatient Partnership Group, and as Vice-Chair of the Cambridgeshire SACRE (Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education), and in other volunteer roles.
Gita studied for a Higher National Diploma in Business Studies at the London Metropolitan University (previously North London Polytechnic). She holds an ACII (Associateship in the Chartered Insurance Institute), which is an internationally recognised advanced diploma in insurance, and is a Chartered Insurance Practitioner.
