Halima Jibril is an Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Warwick Business School. Her research explores various aspects of firm-level innovation and productivity, innovation ecosystems, policy evaluation, and entrepreneurial resilience, with a focus on quantitative methodologies and policy relevance.
Halima is a Co-investigator on the £7 million UKRI-funded Innovation and Research Caucus, where she leads on research projects aimed at enhancing evidence-based research and innovation policies in the UK. Her work has informed decision-making at institutions including UK government departments and the Treasury Board of Canada. Halima is also a Research Fellow at the Enterprise Research Centre and The Productivity Institute.
Halima holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Leeds, where she specialised in international economics and econometric methodologies. She has published in leading academic journals, including the British Journal of Management and Regional Studies. She is driven by a desire to apply academic research to real-world challenges and support collaborative efforts between academia and policymaking.
